Geopolymers are a class of silicate-bound, entirely mineral-based artificial stones. They are comparable to natural stone in weight, sensation and permanence, while their composition is related to ceramics and other mineral materials.

They occupy a niche among modern materials for specialised technical applications, while also relating to a longer history of mineral-bound materials such as Roman concrete.

Our geopolymer material was formulated without petrochemical compounds and adapted to provide good workability with a wide range of aesthetic possibilities for sculptural applications.

The laboratory in Berlin produces works in geopolymer for artists, galleries, museums and architects: mould making from originals, models or digital files, casting in solid and hollow form, surface finishes from polished to raw stone, pigmentation throughout the material, and reproduction in editions.

Formats range from small objects to architectural elements and public artworks. Pieces are engineered for indoor and outdoor placement, including permanent installation and transport to international venues.

Work usually begins with a sample series: a few sample pieces with different components, developed in dialogue with the artist's conceptual approach, before the edition or the final piece is produced.
